ABOUT THE NUMISMATIC MUSEUM
What is Numismatics?
Numismatics is an auxiliary science of archeology that deals with the study of coins and medals.
History
In March 1927 the "Organic Law of the Central Bank of Ecuador" and the "law of currencies" for 73 years, was issued was the only bank of issue.
The Museum of the Central Bank of Ecuador was opened in 1969 and exhibits pieces of Archaeology, ceramics, colonial and republican art, contemporary art.
The National Museum of the Central Bank of Ecuador, is premised on the permanent exhibition and temporary permit us to read the history of the country in a different way, by way of an open book which society knows the basic substrate of their culture through the archaeological and artistic heritage that sets in their living rooms.

The Numismatic Museum of the Central Bank of Ecuador shows the national and international public.

THE EXHIBITIONS

v Prehispanic Hall

Republic Hall
