                                  THE GUAYABAMBA ZOO

HISTORY

The Zoological Foundation of Ecuador (FEZ) is an NGO (nongovernmental, non profit) which was formed in 1994 by a group of people interested in promoting the conservation of the biodiversity of Ecuador, especially of wild species of our fauna.

MISSION

Conserve biodiversity in the Ecuadorian fauna secies that are endangered, through project and programs of research and education.

VISION

Being a leader in the conservation of the native fauna of Ecuador, wich invites other to work on endangered species and educate the public about the importance of our biodiversity center.

The FZE is a member of 

ALPZA (Latin American Association of Zoos ans Aquariums) Also FZE is a member of CEDENMA and GNCCA (Group National Andean Condor Conservation).

Cost of entry:
    Children (3-11 years):$ 3.00
     High school and colleges students with ID: $ 3.50
     Adults: $ 4.50
     Seniors: $ 2.00
Children under 3 years oldand disabledare free.

School groups:

     Public schoolchildren (3-11 years):$ 2.00
     Private schoolchildren (3-11 years):$ 3.00

Hours:

Tuesday to Friday from08h30to 16h00

Saturday, Sunday and holidays from9h00to 16h00

At 16h00 the last tickets sold.

Monday the Quito Zoo closed.

How to get?

The starting point of any point of the city of Quito is the season of Metrovia in Ofelia, from there you must take the green interprovincial buses such as: Pichincha Cooperative or Cooperative Flor del Valle, any of these buses will they will stop on the road, in the Panamericana Norte, hence they should take a van or taxi that will take you to Quito Zoo, Zoo Guayllabamba.
