"Ex Penal García
Moreno" Museum
The ex penal García Moreno is a very interesting
place to visit, te museum is very big and darkness, when you enter to this
place you will feel a little scared, but you are going to know a lot of awesome
things of this shadowy place.
This
place was built between 1879 and 1882 was
the Danish architect Thomas Reed.
In
the corridors and cells in this prison countless stories of
pain and suffering occurred for decades
For this
detention center they have passed since the most dangerous
criminals in the Ecuador, as influential figures in the
history of the country. One of the cells is that you can
visit in which the former
president was arrested Eloy Alfaro, leader of
the liberal revolution.
The jail is divided in many parts, these are:

Cupule
- *Hall A
- *Hall B
- *Hall C
- *Hall D
- *Hall E
THE CUPULE: This place is the center of the jail,
you can see everything here but nobody can see you.
THE HALL A: In this place were the drug
traffickers, the bankers and the politics, this place had a lot of
luxuries.
THE HALL B: This pavilion was the most dangerous
and agressive, because herte was located the criminals that stoles things
or kill to other people.
THE HALL C: This place was the most pacific in all
the jail, in this pavilion were the drug mules, mos of them had little business
in this place, many of this criminals were of other countries.
THE HALL D: It was for individuals of higher
education and others with incomplete primary. Some received
money or other work to meet their basic needs.
THE HALL E: (Isolated)
was designed for five inmates of mestizos in each
of the cells majority. Away from the
rest of pavilions served a group of foreign drug
addicts or economic problems without a
social level or predominant offense.
